Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Gets U/A Certificate
Just a day after the CBFC decided to take its scissors to Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the film has finally been cleared with a U/A certificate
It is one of the most hyped Bollywood releases of the year but Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's stint with the Censor Board was off to a bad start recently. Just yesterday it was reported that the CBFC has given the film a U/A certificate after chopping off three steamy scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (CHOPPED: Aishwarya And Ranbir’s 3 Steamy Scenes From Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Oct 13).
But SpotboyE.com found out that the CBFC has not given the film a certificate but had instead sent the filmmakers a show-cause notice.
Now, the latest development is a press release sent out by Dharma Productions where they have confirmed that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has indeed got a u/A certificate.
The film has been produced by Fox Star Studios and Dharma Productions.
Apoorva Mehta, CEO, Dharma Productions says, "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been cleared by the censor board and we are gearing up for its release on the 28th of October. Diwali is all about love and Ae Dil is all about spreading love."
Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, adds, "Karan Johar's films present love in its most purest yet unique and modern way and this Diwali he is celebrating love, friendship and heartbreak. We are set for the film's release on October 28. There can be no better way than celebrating Diwali with Ae Dil, a quintessential family entertainer."
What about the scenes which will get chopped by Pahlaj Nihalani though? Stay tuned to SpotboyE.com for the full report.
